ArenomicsInstitute
Institute for Synthetic Economy & Systemic Intelligence
Professionalising authority over synthetic cognitive production.
Autonomous systems are moving from tools to economic actors. ARENOMICS Institute develops the research, standards and professional capabilities required to mandate, verify and govern them.

The pieces already exist. The profession does not.
Agent engineering, AI governance, verification, machine identity, multi-agent systems and the economics of AI are each taught or researched somewhere. Our September 2026 global landscape review found no institution integrating mandate, delegation, identity, verification, evidence and synthetic-enterprise governance into a single professional formation pathway.
ARENOMICS Institute is an integration and professionalisation project. It does not claim that the adjacent disciplines are absent. It claims that no one has yet assembled them into a profession.
The authority layer
As synthetic intelligence performs more cognitive production on its own, the economically important human role shifts from doing the work to bounding it. The Institute studies and professionalises six functions.
Founding academic architecture
Four proposed schools. This is the Institute's intended structure, not a description of operating faculties.
School of Mandate & Delegation
Mandate engineering, delegation architecture, agent identity and authority, escalation and revocation. The Institute's most distinctive territory: the landscape review found delegation architecture to be one of the least-developed academic pillars anywhere.
School of Verification & Evidence
Agent evaluation, evidence architecture, AI audit, safety cases and model risk. How to verify work produced by a system that may be more capable than the person verifying it.
School of Synthetic Enterprise & Organisation
Designing organisations composed of human roles, persistent agent roles and policies. Autonomous workflow architecture, agent fleets, synthetic labour economics and machine-to-machine commerce.
School of Agent Governance
Governance frameworks, compliance, standards, risk allocation, insurance and liability. Board-level and regulator-level governance of autonomous systems.
Founding curriculum
In development
Three founding programmes. One — Mandate Engineering — Foundation — has been specified at version 1.0 and is in development; the other two are proposed and in development. No programme is open for enrolment.
Mandate Engineering — Foundation
From instructions to bounded, verifiable, and revocable authority. Eight weeks, online, cohort-based and assessed: writing the mandate under which an autonomous system acts, operating it in a controlled setting, revoking it under an injected failure, and defending the authority design before an independent reviewer.
Verification & Evidence Architecture
Designing the evidence trail an auditor, insurer or regulator will read, and the verification regime for output from a system the verifier cannot fully inspect.
Proposed · In developmentSynthetic Enterprise Architecture
Designing organisations in which a small number of people hold authority over a large population of persistent agents, with governance built in from the first day.
Proposed · In developmentThe five professional levels · Capstone standard: real mandate, real money, real verification
Future professions
Roles that are already being hired for, or that regulation will soon require, without a matching educational pipeline. Each is labelled by how far it is from being an established profession.
Mandate Engineer
1–3 years · proposedWrites the mandates under which autonomous systems act. Conceptually rooted in EU AI Act Article 14 and in how frontier labs already frame delegation.
Human: authoring authority. Machine: execution and logging.
Agent Identity Engineer
Already emergingNon-human identity, credential brokering and per-tool authorisation scopes for agents. Advertised today by infrastructure and security employers.
Human: identity design. Machine: authenticated action.
AI Liability Underwriter
Already emergingPrices errors-and-omissions and liability exposure of enterprise agent deployments. A specialist insurer was recruiting for this in September 2026; no degree trains for it.
Human: risk selection. Machine: portfolio monitoring.
One name, three institutions
ARENOMICS Institute is a distinct entity inside a wider ecosystem. Each part has its own mission, identity and website.
